Founded in 1958 with a staff in Boston and 35 regional offices around the world, Grand Circle is one of the biggest group tour companies. GCT is known for reasonable prices and respected for their resident Program Directors: English-speaking residents of the countries you visit, who provide expert firsthand knowledge and insight of local history, culture, and wildlife.  Group sizes are limited to 42 travelers on their land tours.

Grand Circle provides illuminating cultural encounters and a wide array of learning activities that reflect each destination. Participate in a discussion about life under communism in Eastern Europe, or try your hand at painting in Impressionism’s homeland.  Other activities may include home-hosted meals with local families and demonstrations by regional artisans, to touring a family-run winery or visiting a local school, allowing guests to enjoy firsthand perspectives on everyday life.

Itineraries blend regional discovery with “down time,” allowing you to explore as little or as much as you like. Well-located accommodations make it convenient for guests to discover on their own.
