Known for their cycling tours, Backroads also offers a variety of multisport adventure tours, that combine biking and walking with kayaking, rafting, snorkeling, surfing, camel riding and more.  Partnering with AmaWaterways, they now offer bike & barge tours that combine river cruises with cycling tours.

Backroads promises to go above and beyond, with three tour leaders on every trip, and two support vans on all cycling tours (no waiting for a van that’s already occupied).  They give riders the option to choose among several expertly designed routes or activities each day, allowing guests to ride and explore at their own pace.

Winter adventures include snowshoeing in Yellowstone National Park and unforgettable wildlife viewing in a breathtaking winter wonderland. Or snowshoe and cross-country ski amid spectacular frozen waterfalls, sparkling glaciers and snow-dusted evergreens in the Canadian Rockies.

Accommodations include ideal settings in order to experience the best of your destination, like an elegant Premiere Inn set in a former royal château or a welcoming Casual Inn renowned for its unmatched mountain views or a serene lakeside campground with a private beach for swimming.

Backroads also allows travelers to choose who they want to travel with: adult travelers, families with younger kids, families with teens and 20-somethings, mothers and daughters, solo travelers or your own private group.
