Oceanic Society —
Oceanic Society offers an exciting variety of ocean conservation tours and marine related eco-tours, including snorkeling expeditions in exotic locations like Belize, Bali, Palau, Australia and Raja Ampat, numerous whale watching expeditions in Baja, and even snorkeling with humpback whales in Tonga. Established in 1969, Oceanic Society is one of the first non-profit organizations dedicated to ocean conservation.
Their “Ridge to Reef Expeditions” include: Kenya – From Hyenas to Humpbacks; Guyana – Giant River Otters and Wilderness; the Galápagos Islands Cruise, and more. They also offer several trips where guests can choose either scuba diving or snorkeling.
North American eco-tours include: Florida Manatees & Endangered Habitats; Alaska Coastal Wilderness Cruise; Kayaking the San Juan Islands; and Big Island “Black Water” & Manta Ray Sunset Dives — featuring a surreal night scuba dive experience in the open water off of Kona, Hawaii.
Their Volunteer Vacations include helping St. George’s Caye Sea Turtles & Manatees in Belize, Dolphin Research in Belize, the Whales of Guerrero Research Project, and several Coral Reef Research projects.
